On December 24 of the current year in the building of the State Assets Management Agency was held an open dialog “Leader and Youth” with the participation of the Director of UzSAMA Akmalhon Ortikov. The event was attended by more than 230 young specialists from the central office of the Agency, territorial departments and system organizations.

At the beginning of the speech, A. Ortikov noted that on the initiative of the esteemed President in 2024 in Uzbekistan was declared the “Year of Support for Youth and Business”, as well as the Presidential Decree of February 21, 2024 on the State Program for the implementation of the strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030” in terms of the year of support for youth and business. He emphasized that this shows the high attention and trust given to youth in our country.

At the moment, 255 young specialists (24% of the total number of employees in the system) work in the system of UzSAMA, 20 of whom hold managerial positions. In the current year, the organization has implemented several initiatives to work with young people, in particular, aimed at their support and professional development. For example, the following steps were taken to increase the knowledge and capacity of UzSAMA youth staff:

• Several young staff members of UzSAMA participated in a seminar held in the People's Republic of China on “Privatization of Enterprises with state participation and Enhancing Uzbekistan's Capacity for international cooperation”.
• Two young employees made a presentation on the privatization process in Uzbekistan for business representatives in the United Arab Emirates and also took part in the “Uzbek-Turkish Business Forum” held in the Republic of Turkey.
• One young staff member participated in the meetings of the Working Group on Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization held in Geneva (Switzerland), Washington (USA) and Astana (Kazakhstan).
• One young staff member participated in the training on “Project Management” held in Tokyo, Japan, and returned with valuable experience of international practice.

It was also noted that 2 young employees of UzSAMA, chief specialist of the Department of privatization and preparation for privatization of state assets Omanov Shokhjahon and leading specialist of the Methodology Department Yakhshiboev Shohruh, are currently in the final stage of the master's program “MBA in IT-Business” at Ajou University (South Korea).

During the event, a number of young employees of UzSAMA also made presentations, shared their experiences and talked about the opportunities and conditions for development created for young people.

It was emphasized that in the future the work to support young people working in the system of UzSAMA will continue in a systematic manner.

At the end of the event, the young employees of the UzSAMA proposed a number of initiatives that will be included in the Youth Work Program of the UzSAMA to be developed for 2025. In turn, the most active and initiative young specialists were presented with letters of appreciation and memorable gifts.
